In March 2009 the Team Federal / JDS took to the seas and competed in the SPG Drift Tasmania competition. The team was excited to head south and compete with the locals on their own turf.
The JDS / Federal S13 Silvia handled very well with the Federal sponsored 265RSRs. The car was extremely fast and the tires provided excellent traction and were the best performance tires used to date on this vehicle.
Given the power of the vehicle Khudr found it difficult to drive against slower driver and a change in setup was undertaken to compensate for this. In the first outing for the year a good day was had by all with Khudr finishing 3rd overall.
We are looking forward to running these tires again and achieving an optimum setup of the vehicle.
Khudr Elhouli rates the 265RSRs as highly competitive tires when compared to brands like Toyo and Yokahama.
Whilst in Japan in October 2007 Khudr tried all leading tires brands and used the RSs there and was very impressed with the result. Federal is definitely Khudr’s preferred tire with RSRs the premium tire available. They heat up quickly and give better traction.
Khudr and Team JDS / Federal will be heading to Adelaide in May at further rounds of the SPG Tasmanian Drift Series.
